Actually there are six foot bunny references in a lot of movies/pop culture. The 1950 film Harvey (with Jimmy Stewart) featured an invisible six foot bunny (titicularly named) that palled around with Stewart while he drank like crazy. Donnie Darko, good film, introduced at a terrible time it has grown in cult popularity ever since. It always seemed to me that there is a contradition in the narrative of the story but it seems that Donnie is a superhero and his superpower is dying in the past and that's all pretty neat.

Love it. Just enough off kilter to watch more than once.
Soundtrack is the best: among others - Echo & the Bunnymen, Tears for Fears, Gary Jules and my favorite The Church: Under the Milky Way.
Every song fit the scene.

What was up with the friggin' bunny from the Trix commercials in that movie? I think you have to be on some really hard stuff to understand that movie.

I love the movie.. It's so weird..but with a hidden meaning in it. I love the 80s music in it.. A definite classic The rabbit is a thing of nightmares!

Its strange, you have to pay attention for sure. The soundtrack is strange as well. The bunny and old lady freak me out. I own it but only watched it a few times.

Sucked. It didn't make any sense to me at all. This stuff was going on at random. First I'm looking a a teen boy. I look away for a second and theres a bunny. what the hell.

He time traveled. Great movie. Watch it with the commentary from Kevin Smith and the director (forgot his name).
