While any CD-R will work, the ones that are listed as "music" or "audio" CDs - and are more expensive - have an extra amount added to their price that goes back to the record industry to buy royalty to musicians and others. So files burned to a Music CD are legal. Files on other CDs may not be. Other than that, they are identical.

If you are using it in a PC go ahead and use a DATA CD.
If you are using it in a mpc CD player, you should be able to use a DATA CD also, but i am not sure. The DATA CDs should be cheeper than AUDIO CDs too so yeay :)))
