Get a low key, but very nice car. It may not be the most popular thing right now. But in a few years, when all the kids that had sports cars and motorcycles have ruined theirs because they don't know how to take care of them, you'll still have a nice, good car. And you won't have to upgrade when you're ready for a more mature car. Not to mention the insurance, monthly note, and maintenance are all cheaper. My suggestions would be:

Nissan Maxima
Nissan Altima
Nissan Sentra
Nissan Xterra (my personal favorite, I have one)
Toyota Camry
BMW M3 (very nice, and not too expensive, even loaded)
Chevy Cobalt (it's a lot like the Cavalier, but better)
Mercury Mystique
Ford Ranger
Jeep Cherokee
Jeep Liberty
Honda Civic
Honda Accord

Of Course, I'm assuming this is your first car.

And you have to remember that there's more kids that don't have cars than ones that do. You're going to be cool just for having a ride. Everyone's going to want to hang out with you. Then when they all gets cars, you can say, "I drove you guys around all over the place, now it's your turn."

My first car was a 1987 Cadillac Brougham. It was a big as a boat, and the paint was so faded it looked like it was only primer, bu tit had air and leather seats. Everyone wanted to ride in the yacht!

first of all look for something within your budget,,,,, as far as ' LOOKING COOL ",, hahahaha, lots of KEWEL Rides out there, look for something you can get parts for like a vintage Chevy or Ford,. something you can put a little bit of YOU,.. into.,.. your friends will see the REAL you thru this.... and like you for who you are, NOT for what you drive........ . Gurlzzzzzz. included Bud...... always be yourself, never copy someone else, whats cool in some elses eyes might not be the Truthful Cool you really should be looking for.... ..... my first car was a 35 Ford 4 dr sedan while everyone else was driving Dad and Moms car or whatever they could afford at the time. Would be nice if we could all afford Corvettes or Cobras in High School ,...... HUH :o)

Why is it so important to be SUPER COOL? So people will like you better, or you will be popular? Don't try to be something, you're not. It will only hurt you in the end. And those people you are trying to impress will turn on you at the first sign of indifference or problems. No matter what "Be True to Yourself"

Drive something that doesn't draw a lot of attention to you. Driving a muscle car or a really expensive car implies that you are compensating for something.

Whatever you want - because cool is not reflected in your automobile. Mostly that is a sign of insecurity.
