I think my wife is very beautiful so I like to show public affection to let everyone know that she's with me but everytime I do she doesn't seem to like it, especially when I slap her butt at the grocery store.

Hey don't feel bad I can hardly get my fiancee to hold hands in public. Some people are just like that no PDA's.Just love her for who she is and respect her choice.Then when you are home alone show her affection. Maybe grab her butt while she is cooking or doing something busy she won't expect it or just grab her and give her a hug and kiss.I'm sure you can come up with something spontaneous!

Why are you asking us why your wife doesn't like it? We don't know her.
What type of affection are you giving her? Slaps on the butt aren't generally in the same ball park as gentle kiss on the cheek or holding hands. Does she object to those as well?
You should gently ask her why she doesn't seem to enjoy it, and listen to what she has to say.
You shouldn't treat your wife as a possession, no matter how beautiful she may be. She is not a trophy which needs to be displayed as something you won.
Not everyone likes PDA. Some feel that affection should be private, conducted between two lovers, especially if it crosses the realm of good taste. Perhaps your wife feels this way.
You'll never find out by asking us. Go and speak with her, but don't maker her feel as though she is doing something wrong, because she isn't. Neither of you are wrong, you're just not on the same page.

Well, I don't like my butt slapped in public either. In my opinion, it demeans me, I'm a grown woman, when I get slapped in the tail in public, it feels like the one who is slapping is telling everyone that I'm a little girl and needs to be punished for something.
There are other ways to let people know shes with you, try holding her hand.

Show affection by holding hands or giving her a quick kiss. I can understand why she'd not like getting her butt slapped in public, being groped, or getting frenched in public. I wouldn't either. I'll quick kiss, hug, hold hands, or stick my hand in his back pocket, but that's about it. Hold off on the make out stuff for home. She just wants you to respect her, and to her butt slapping isn't respect.

My husband and that i've got continually the two been very affectionate human beings and yea we show some affection in public like protecting palms,rapid kisses on the lips and verify yet for my area i think of a make out consultation in public is irrelevant..it is for the privateness of your mattress room.

Here is a crazy thought then don't do it. Honor her feelings and her request and just don't do it. To ignore is a very self centered thing to do. There is always a time and place for everything. Try asking her what would she find acceptable and would allow you to do. That would show the most important person that does need to know that you love her. That would be your wife.

I wonder. You sound like an over 60 year old with a 18-25 year old that you insist she wear mini dresses so that "you" get adoration from all the men. Beep, Beep!
Maybe your gesture makes her feel like she just laid herself bare in front of everyone that witnesses it (Who's your daddy?)

The best thing to do in this situation would be to BACK OFF! You may think it's funny and cute, but it may really drive her nuts. Why plant seeds of bitterness in her heart? If you're really doing this for her, find out what she likes. Maybe, rather than groping her and embarrassing her in public, she'd prefer that you just keep your eyes off of other women, and hence, display your commitment to her. Some women like things done subtly. Don't push her on this issue.
