Phone Moviepass on 866 431-7720 (dial 001 if calling from outside the US) and cancel your account - you'll need to quote your Customer ID number, you may be asked for your IP address.

The only spyware remover that gets rid of Moviepass is Spyware Doctor, the only anti-virus program is Panda Internet Security.

The program will be listed in Add/Remove under the name Notify (or something similar) or Download Manager but using Add/Remove to delete these only takes you to the Moviepass website.

The files on your hard drive could include any number of the following...

AltBill
AltPayments
AltPayV2
DownloadManager
FileGrabber
FSupport
ITBills
LicenseManager
MPNotifier
MyAccessMedia
Notify, Notifier, Notification or anything similar (these names often have numbers with them)
OptimumOnline
P2PNetworks
WhenU
Anything with MoviePass, MovieLand or MediaPipe in the name

I have a website dedicated to helping people remove Moviepass and over half a million people have visited - the vast majority say they have no idea how Moviepass came to be on their computer so it's probable that neither you or your grand-kids intentionally installed it. If no-one did agree to install it then the way they are operating is illegal and you don;t have to pay them anything - the demands for money and threats of legal action are an attempt to frighten people into paying for something they never asked for.

Please visit http://profend.com/answers/moviepass for more info about Moviepass and full removal instructions. Please use the link on the front page to report them to the FTC.

Do you have a spy bot remover? If so, run the program.
