More than 50% of marriages in this country end in divorce. One of the predominant factors given by a survey of 1,600 people stated that their marriage last after- Children, Jobs, and Money. The health of the marriage was not considered as the foundation for the family. I wanted to test that survey---and after 22 answers, I see the survey was correct. The Bible says that the family hierarchy is GOD, MARRIAGE, CHILDREN.

My child. My spouse has had more time to live his life and in saving my child I would also be saving a part of my spouse.

I have to agree with everyone else, my child would come first only because my spouse is an adult and more capable of taking care of herself.

If you asked me which one of my 3 kids I'd have to save if I could only save 1... that would be impossible to decide.

EDIT: Your Additional information makes no sense... how did you prove your comments with your question and our answer?? The question is in no way connected to your babbling on about the foundation of marriage... Your question suddenly went from intriguing to stupid.

If you asked us to list the most important things in our life, then you would have gotten some results that would either support or debunk the data which you were testing... but you didn't. And not everyone is even married here that answered the question... wow, tell me you aren't a research scientist...

You asked us to make a life or death split second judgement call on saving one life out of multiple lives during a deadly life threatening situation. What did you want us to say... I'd save God?

Everyone says there child which politically is correct but if you really want to analyze the question at hand. But just ponder on this if you will, you can always have more children, but its very hard to find another spouse.

that's a sad question. I can't save my husband but no my son, neither will I save my son but not the husband. what I would do is save the child first because hes young. He won't be able to hold on because he doesn't know what to do in these kind of situations. somehow when I know I got him out of danger and in a safe place, I WILL go back for my husband. Hes knows how to stay conscious for a little while until I come back for him. I will probably die in the process but I can't let either one die and I stay alive. it's not in me. I know you said who would I save out of these two. I say I will save both even if it cost me my life. Thats how much I love my family and how much they mean to me.

Child...It wasnt my child's choice to be there under these circumstances. My child hasn't got a chance to experience everything out there yet. I'd do what I brought him/her into this world for--to live.
