I've been experiencing this problem for many years now - it's very hard to fall asleep during the night of full moon + 2 days before and after. I know about the tide, the water controled by moon, but I want a specific reason why this affects people's sleep.

Oh, and NO - I am not aware when the moon is full at all. I noticed it's at that time, that's all.

When the moon gets full, its gravitational pull becomes greater. The pull of moon's gravity does have some effects on human brain by changing its chemistry. The enzymes created due to this activity keeps you active.

Get darker thicker curtains or wear an eye mask. Some people have a very difficult time sleeping in anything but total darkness (I'm one). Lycanthropy could be a slim possibility, on mornings after a sleepless night do you notice fleas or coarse fur in your bed? There are also over the counter sleeping aids for those nights when you just need to relax your mind a bit more.

There is a different gravitational pull on the earth, therefore our minds are affected in many ways when the moon is full.

There is alot of Gravitational pull when the moon is full...maybe you re feeling this ...alot of babies are born on this night because of the gravitational pull....some people are sensitive to alot of things...my mother gets real dizzy just before an earthquake hits California....

Perhaps you need to purchase room darkening blinds. The moon can cast quite a bit of light through translucent blinds.

try drawing the shade on your window for the darkness. or you could be doing it to yourself because you expect it. don't keep tabs on the moon- stay as unaware as possible of it's cycle.
