who is the better striker jimmy greaves or michel owen?

jimmy greaves (i have been told)was an exceptional player and fast with it...just could not stay out of the boozer.

As I have answered the Matthews/Owen questions, unfair to compare the two. Greaves has the better record.

greaves definately....when owen came to the international arena during france 98 he was amazing... but over the years he has lost so much ability. i've been watching him play for the past 3 yrs
and he's def lost pace, he's small , weak, keeps falling over cant control a ball properly and he doesn't give anything to the team
i know he's got alot of goals for england, but most of them haave been tap ins or open goals from like 5 -10 yards, which any striker can do so.. it would be better if defoe or walcott came on instead of him coz they can offer so much more to the team

Don't know, don't care. I guess Greaves cos old people actually played football instead of making a big deal about hurting themselves. I bet Greavesy wouldn't have had all the silly publicity and doctoryness. It's only a broken foot, well it's not even that, is it?
