Through the years, republicans have been in favor with the rich, and they stand for things which would make rich people richer at the expense of the poor. They are in favor of building up the military, because that's how many of them get rich. They seem indifferent to human suffering.

When Republicans are having trouble with the polls, their first move is to pick a fight with some little country, rally the troops, and wrap themselves in the flag. Unfortunately for the current George, he wasn't smart enough to pick a war that he could win in a few weeks, and when the infrastructure collapsed, he was left holding the bag.

Republicans who want to pass on more than two million dollars to their children are upset because there is an estate tax on the amount over this figure, and want to eliminate the estate tax altogether.

Under the current administration, the national debt, which had been decreasing under Clinton, has been ballooning out of control. The whole expense of the Iraq war has been not even included in the national budget. There has not been any revenue-raising measure to pay for this war, which means that our children will be paying the cost, along with the expenses which arise in their own time.

Republicans now seem to want to silence scientists worldwide which warn of global warming. This is because the ultra-rich are making money from oil and industries don't want to have to spend money to correct their dangerous practices.

Though Theodore Roosevelt, a republican, started the national parks and conservation, the present republicans are more in favor of cutting down the trees and selling them for a profit, and gutting conservation measures wherever it's possible to make a profit doing so.

Conservative one-issue fundamentalist Christians have become unlikely bedfellows of the republicans. It seems they can forgive their greed in order to get the power to force their moral choices on the unconverted.

Democrats have been the party of the working people, and favored programs that would benefit the weakest in our society at the expense of the rich. These are the people who could live very well on the interest from two million dollars. They are the first to suffer when the economy turns. They are the ones who have to bear the brunt of failed environmental, economic, and social programs.

It's thanks to the democrats that we have a minimum wage, social security, child labor laws, health care for the poor, workplace safety laws. Working people who have less than two million dollars to pass on to their children tax-free stand to benefit most from a democratic government.

Christians who believe in the dignity of every invividual and their ability to make their own moral and spiritual choices are numbered with the democrats.

People can write books about the differences. Here's an example.

Brenda studies hard in college. She watches what she eats, attends all her classes, and dates conservatively.

Amy loafs around all day. She has gained 40 pounds since her Freshman year because she won't even walk to class; she drives. Still, her added weight hasn't slowed down Amy's very active social life. She sleeps around more than a rock star.

Amy's grades have hit rock bottom, and so has her finances. So, Amy tells Brenda she should take some of her tests for her so that she doesn't fail the semester. Also, Amy wants Brenda to give her an extended loan. It isn't fair that only Brenda should have a new outfit for the big dance on Saturday. Sure, Amy knows she frittered away her money on other things, but that shouldn't be counted against her.

Brenda is a Republican.

Amy is a Democrat.

I'm glad that some people are starting to realize that republican’s and democrats are two sides of the same coin. Their both corrupt and don't represent the American people well. I think a third party is in line, but it'll never happen because of the millions of zombies in the United States.

Really, there shouldn't be anything. We're all American. Same team. It's just how people perceive the two parties and divide them into rival groups. I think we should all have the best interest of our nation in mind, so where does that land us? Republican or Democrat? You can't tell me that one side is for making the country better and the other wants to ruin it. It's an absurd statement. I think there are those politicians on both sides that are misguided and make poor decisions, but they thought they were good for us. I don't approve of the president, but I believe he tried. He failed, but he at least tried. That is just my opinion. I can't believe in the "Republicans: Good, Democrats: Evil" (or vice versa) philosophy. That is what has gotten us into trouble. Peace to all; Conservative, Liberal, Libertarian, or whatever. We are all AMERICAN.

Republicans are against abortion and beleive tax breaks are for the rich.

Democrats are in favor of pro choice for women, welcome minorities, and beleive in tax breaks for the poor. However they are very disorganized and often do not stand up for their beliefs.
