i used to have limewire but it put loads of viruses onto my computer and it broke down. Any suggestions of free dowloanding programs that WON'T harm my computer?

There really is nowhere that is totally safe. All places have a chance of giving you a virus. Limewire is a pretty good site, that has a low risk of virus, but you will have to check your computer every now and then.
