Why can't people ask a question about the things we see in life? Why does everyone get on the case about being racist and feel the need to report someone asking an honest question? I just answered a question someone asked about black guys being chubby chasers, and some people got all bent out of shape "reported!".
No, it's not cool to have preconceived ideas about an individual before you meet him/ her, BUT there are certain trends we see in different cultures- race cultures, geographical cultures, ethnic cultures. Why can't people just admit to this? It doesn't have to be a bad thing. It's just the world in which we live together. Diversity's okay, but why is it racist to bring up specific points of diversity? A long-winded question, sorry.

I know it's already a long question, but add to this in response to Hannahholylove's answer:
Guess what? I grew up in the NY Metro area and worked in Manhattan- a very culturally diverse place- for a very long time. So you don't need to chide me about opening my mind or world up. I didn't actually ask the question about black guys/ fat girls. Someone else did, but everyone jumped on her case about it. And if you notice, I said there are trends in ALL types of cultures- whether by race, by religion, by geography, by ethnicity, by education, by whatever. And people are combinations of each of these, but also a product of the culture that raises you, and there are patterns to be observed.
Chill out, everybody!!!!!!!!!!!

It had to do with how the question was worded, for example, this is not a racist question:

Do black men prefer chubby women? Why?

Whereas this is:

Why do black guys like to date REALLY fat girls?

The reason being that the second question includes a rather large assumption, that all black men like fat white woman. It´s obviously not true, you only have to watch MTV for about 18 seconds to get a fairly good idea of what alot of black guys like in a girl (at least, alot of black guys who make music videos) and it´s not gross obesity. Essentially, the people who complained saw a racist statement, hidden behind a rather vacuous question, and they complained. It´s quite possible the girl was just being clumsy with her use of language rather than racist, though to be honest I think she´s just upset because a black guy chose a fat girl over her and she´s decided to take it out on all black men in general.

It´s all very well talking about the differences betwen races, they certainly exist, it´s pretty much a proven point that oriental people are alot shorted than the other races for example. You just need to be careful how you talk about it, which generally means bearing in mind that when you talk about a group of people, there will be quite a few people in that group who are not the way you´re talking about. For example, the question you answered would have sounded alot better if it had included the word "Some":

Why do some black guys like to date REALLY fat girls?

I do not know your other questions but from this it sounds like you did not bring up "specific points of diversity" you made a generalization. You have not met all "black" men and I bet you do not even know if you are talking about Africans or African Americans... do not assume every person with dark skin is African American... that is where the racists part comes in, you see skin color and not individuals it sounds like form your questions. All people are different and it IS racist to say black men when you know a very limited group. If you did research and got people's opinions other than your little Podunk town you might notice that just because that is all YOU see does not mean that is all there is. Go out and see the world and the differences before you generalize about your own town. That might help people not get riled up when you ask questions with no basis behind them but lack of knowledge.

It's not okay to ask these questions, it was only asked to cause trouble.

Let's assume there actually was a reasonable answer to the question or that studies showed this tendency was true... nobody could possibly EVER under any circumstances come up with the answer to the question 'why' so asking it is just stupid and it causes an uproar.

A black person who likes fat girls could not answer why because he doesn't know why, he just likes fat girls. And any other person couldn't possibly know why because they aren't black and don't belong to the population in question.

I'm glad people report questions like these. We have enough problems with racist attitudes separating us.

THIS FORUM IS A PLACE FOR ALL PEOPLE....

Unfortunatly - the close minded force the open-minded to constantly fight for the right to be heard ...

Most likely - You have encoutered the racist user by the name "KKK" - this user is a racist f!@k - i still answer his questions & have never reported him - it is the job of all realistic & informed people to educate the masses & the masses include people like that...

You may have also encoutered a bible thumping - over zealous relegous bast@rd who make it their perpose to infringe on the right of free speech & has no intention of ever creating a valid debate over anything...

The intention with those people is to "shun the children of Hell into submission" - a direct quote from a bible thumper that reported me...

I say - Yahoo Answers is supporting an enviroment that opens the world to debate of ideologies & psycosocial behavior...

I Love This Place & will continue to debate questions for which i don't beleive in.. Cause it's my right

I hear you on that one!!!! You can't ask anything without people tripping out on you and assuming you are a racist for asking questions!!! Its alot easier to throw the race card than to actually take the time to answer a question, ignorance is bliss!!!!!
