IM WOLVERINE

2006-06-09 06:27:01 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

Genetic mutation IS all around us. It's actually a very basic phenonemon - think of it this way. DNA, the stuff that holds your genetic information, has to be made at some point. Like everywhere else in nature, mistakes happen. Nothing grows "perfectly", there is always some degree of randomness. When a DNA is accidentally built incorrectly, it will contain NEW genes that neither mother nor father had, and could be entirely new to the species. That's how we evolved from slime; by many little accidents.

Superhuman abilities, on the other hand, are physically impossible. The best/coolest mutation you could hope for are perhaps a slightly tougher/more resistant skin, or a funny eye color. Who knows. But the more complex the mutation, the less likely it is to ever occur.

Of course mutants exist, but they are suffering from terrible defects and syndromes because they are MISSING genes, or have TOO MANY of known genes; not BRAND NEW genes that give them new abilities.

There isn't any such thing as powers like in the movies. (Why don't Cyclops' beams come out of his ears? It would make just as much sense, biologically. Reason? It's a more dramatic special effect, both in the comic and the movie. That's the ONLY reason.)

Forget the New Mutants, the TRUE mutants are the ones who are helpless and forgotten.

We need to devote more money, doctors and other researchers to efforts to help these poor unfortunates, who, due to an accident of birth, are missing limbs, have weak hearts, cannot breathe properly, age rapidly, will never have adult mentality, are joined to a sibling, or are attracted to the same sex.

Yes mutants do exist. But not it in the way the X-men do. It is exaggerated but it's to make a point of how we treat people who are different from us. Some muntantions are visible like Scott's eyes, or an extra bones. Some aren't like Storm's mutantion isn't visible. Some people are double jointed, some people have extra bones, my husband has an extra set of tubes going to his kidneys.

Could these abilities happen? yeah it would take a series of odd events but I'm sure there are people who can tell what others are feeling and thinking. As far as blue fur now that might take an oddity of nature but it could happen.

Mutants are people who have genetic mutations. Some unfortunate people have an extra chromosome or other genetic defects. These persons suffer from syndromes such as Down's syndrome.

In reality these mutations cannot give anyone super powers. They will more over suffer from physical disorders.X-men is fiction , this is fact.

Maybe? But humans have the ability to control things with our mind like that women off of x-men. We just don't know how to tap into it on our own. But scientist have made a small chip that they can but in ur brain to make u be able to do it. They test it on a monkey that was given a artificial arm that was stuck in a box
and they set a banana in front of it. The monkey used brain waves to control the arm and picked up the banana and started eating it.
So after they did that they tested it out own a man that was paralyzed from the neck down they put the chip in hes brain and now all's he has to do is think about what he wont's to type and hes computer does it and like when he wont's to change TV all's he has to do is think about it. Cool right!
So in about maybe 10-20yrs we may all be using that kind of technology.

What makes some thing said as some thing. someone got here up with a attractiveness for human beings and now we at the same time call ourselves human beings (as far as English is worried). How are we different from different issues? we glance different, we've different genes, we've different purposes, and some may say we received the breath of existence from God. What makes us human contained in the jap way of questioning? A human that conforms to the societal norms. Even the bible says you're a beast in case you supply your self as a lot as sin.

mutants do exist, they happen in nature very often (one of the most common mutation is the albino). there is a man who has SIX functional fingers on his hands, that could be useful. but having abilities like those portrayed in the x-men have not been documented.

Ever heard of poltergeists? There is real proof that the minds of stressed teans can create phenomenal telekenetic capabilities, AKA the poltergeist. There is also real proof that there are psychics, though most of the psychics you find working out there for fame and fortune are fakes.

Yeah, its all BS. There are plenty of mutants on the earth, though, and they are far from strong. They are called cancer patients.
