Whose fault is it really? Was it the German people's fault for accepting and keeping Hitler in power? Is it the Alliance's fault for imposing an incredibly stringent treaty on Germany for their acts in WW1? Is it the German government's fault? It's a really interesting question that I'd love to have answered.

The fault lies mostly with Adolf Hitler, although the German people willingly followed where he led. The Treaty of Versailles in retrospect was too harsh, but that is hindsight, which is always 20/20. The Allies at the end of WWI did the best they could to get the various countries to come up with a workable treaty.

Even though the Treaty of Versailles was stringent as you put it, the Germans did accept that to put an end to WW1, Germany was an impoverished nation after that period trying to pay its war debt. Hitler brought change, he violated the agreement by rearming Germany. He then sought to make a stronger Germany and wanted to expand his territory, so he invaded Poland. This in itself, probably eventually would have been accepted by the world community, but Hitler had broader ambitions. Bearing this in mind, I still do not feel that Germany was totally responsible for WW II due to the simpple fact that were many other mini-wars (for lack of a better term) running concurrently. Japan had invaded China. It wasnt until Hitler invaded France that the war in Europe involved into a more global conflict. England was afraid that Hitler had its sights on her, and the US at that time wished to remain neutral but provided arms and materials to England. Once the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, bringing the US into the war, in my opinion is when WW II attained its global stature. To blame the German people themselves for keeping Hitler in power...I'm not sure if I totally agree with that...Germany was a nation suffering, and Hitler did change their economy, built Germany into a world power, I believe the German people saw it as liberation of other countries, believing Hitlers propaganda. I feel as far as Germany goes..the blame rests with Hitler alone.

well its not the german fault at all it started at first when the japanese invaded a city i forgot the name? well anyways they started taking over countries and the UN didnt do anything about it at first. After italy and germany saw an opportunity to do the same since the UN wasnt doing anything to them. Well all they would do is tell them to stop so they got out from the UN and they still didnt enforce anything(the UN) so the whole thing with germany started off cuz of what happened in WWI how france humiliated germany and took most of germany's property. so hitler wanted revenge and the first thing he did was take the land the french had taken away with them german ppl that were living in that land. hope that answer ur question

They pounished the Germans so much in the the Treaty that they felt helpless- letting evil rise amoung their ranks in the form of Hitler- if the allies had stopped hitler ealier or not punished them as much after WWI all would b kool

You will uncover little to paintings with in blaming the US because the rationale of WW2. If you desire in charge any individual rather then the Germans, seem to France. Look into the stipulations demanded within the give up on the finish of WW1. The phrases of that had been so demeaning and luxurious that they bred hate within the German populace. Had the phrases of the peace been extra equitable, Hitler could now not were competent to evoke the folks to conflict. Now as to the conflict within the Pacific, we did get in the way in which of Japan, however they had been already having a laugh killing off the Chinese.

Adolph Hitler and the Nazi's had a plan to dominate the world. They invaded many nations, tortured innocent jews, had a very tolitarian government led by Chancellor (Dictator) Hitler. They had asllies in Japan and Italy who were also led by dictators. Fortunately the USA, Britian and other allies defeated this evil regime.
