I bought it in January. I love it. I just wish I could get longer wear out of the battery. Two hours and then I have to plug it back in. Is there a battery with longer life?

You can buy a battery with a longer life. If you live in the cold places, that could be the problem to why the battery life is so low.
Or the problem is that you should have charged it fully the first time you got it so the memory in the battery will know when to send the signal to tell the computer that it is time to charge the battery.

I bought my Toshiba laptop, on 04/18/2006!

I haven't had it off, of the AC hookup, much, but -- I think, I saw something, in one of my "booklets" (and I use the term, LOOSELY!) that the battery life should(?) be FOUR HOURS!

It's POSSIBLE, that your laptop battery needs to be "re-conditioned!"

What you'll have to, is, "charge-up" the battery, for, AT LEAST, 6 hours (hopefully, your laptop will be FULLY CHARGED!), then, disconnect the AC hook-up, and "deplete" the battery, COMPLETELY!

You should, probably, do this TWICE -- if not, THREE TIMES! (HOPEFULLY[?], your battery will have been "re-conditioned"!)

HOWEVER, I can't make any "real" guarantees!

Assuming, you purchased your laptop, near where you live, you should take your laptop to the dealer's CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTER, and talk to a "professional!"

....As for a "longer-life" battery, I think, there is one -- but, I can't be 100% sure! Again, take your laptop to the dealer's CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTER, and talk to a "professional!"

My Toshiba lasts about 2 hours also, but considering the amount of power laptops require, I don't know if they can do much better.

It depends on what you are doing. I get almost 3 when I am just typing. If I'm online it is less than 2. Add music or video and forget it, just plug in.
