White or yellow.

Sometimes lime green or orange.

They have to be solid colors.
Prints don't make it.

Generally white or a bright aqua. They will pop out against your tan and in some cases make you look more toned. Or if all else fails, pick the suit which has men's jaws falling to the floor.

Bright Turquoise, Hot Pink, white or black look great with a tan. I had an awesome bright turquoise one with white piping, that made me look even more tan!
