I'm not quite sure if you are alluding to what is going on in your mind, or what is reality - something shared and perceived with others. If you are - in reality - engaging in a non-platonic, consensual relationship with your sister, it's okay, provided you and her have developed the autonomy to live life on your own terms. If the both of you are responsible consenting adults with deep emotional feelings for one another,I don't see a reason the both of you shouldn't have the right to live your life any way you find suitable. In some places around the world consanguineous relationships are not unlawful. Should both of you consider having children, I would suggest seeking medical supervision due to potential risks..

I am not one who feels the same, but still my answer is:

Nonsense! The children are not influenced negatively by their parents making love. Unless it is a neurotic kind of act. As long as the parents love each other and they make love in beautiful loving way, children, that have not reached sexual maturity, (adolescence), are not affected negatively at all. On the contrary…
More influence on the peoples sexuality is coming from denial of sexuality in general. This obsession that sex is a ‘bad’ thing that has to be hidden from children, never tell them anything about it, give them the story with the stork. Never let them know and see naked body of the opposite sex.
Just because children have sexual organs from the birth doesn’t make them sexual. Sexuality rises later in life in adolescence. The conditioning that “sex is bad and needs to be hidden”, cripples them and make them remember their parents making love as a ‘bad thing’ and gives them guilt in the subject.
I would say we should be more relaxed and natural about sex, and not project our ideas and prejudices on young adorable creatures (children) , that can very well see two natural loving people, making love, without worrying that they can understand it wrong. WE give them the wrong understanding.

Unless you want the whole world to know what you do and how you do it, you'd be better off putting the kids in front of the tv while you tend to business. Every friend I have that ever walked in on their parents "private time" still cringes when they think of it. They have never forgotten, and may be psychologically damaged.

Those are private moments and should be kept out of sight from everyone, including, and especially ones children.

Children are too young to understand what is going on, so it is confusing for them. Yes it can damage them.
