This makes it impossible to get seated quickly and the place smells like prune juice. Why can't they just put them all on the front lawn and throw a bunch of bran muffins out to them???

When I can't think of the name "Cracker Barrel", I say "The Old People Store" and usually everyone around me knows what I am referring to. They make home made biscuits like your grandmother likes. They have old time rocking chairs lined up on a big "front porch" with over sized checkers boards. They have retro-style candies and chocolates, including Hersheys products with the wrappers that look like the ones from 100 years ago. They have scented candles, antique-style coffee mugs and old-looking plates and such for sale. Cracker Barrel has good food, but they are clearly marketing to the retirement community.

Because the food at Cracker Barrel is very bland, and that's what old people like. They don't seem to like foods that are seasoned much. Good question... I always wondered the same!

Because it's one of the few places where they can go to enjoy a meal without having to worry about a bunch of bad-a$$ mexican kids running around and stepping on their feet.

b/c that where many old people like to eat they like it there cause they can have there one confosation with out any one buding in ther confosatin.
