Occasionally, your eyelid may twitch at random. This involuntary twitching of the eyelid muscle usually lasts less than a minute. But it can be bothersome. The cause of eyelid twitching isn't known. However, it's often associated with fatigue and stress. You may be able to relieve the twitching by gently massaging the affected eyelid.
Don't worry though, an eyelid twitch is usually harmless. Rarely, a twitching eyelid can be a symptom of a muscle or nerve disease. But if that is the case, it's usually accompanied by other symptoms.

If you have had a succession of stressful events in the last couple of weeks one after the other this seems to happen.. The only thing you can do is let it run its course for a couple of days and try to relax..

Have you been stressed out lately? Or not getting enough sleep? I know mine gets that way when I;m really stressed or really tired. Sometimes you might not think you are stressed, but unconsciously it makes your eye twitch!

Liberals. LOL. No seriously, its a small muscle spasm. If its happening excessively or won't go away I would definitely ask your doctor about it. She can prescribe eye drops that will stop it.

Mine twitches when I have way too much caffeine. Don't know why, but it makes me out down the sodas for awhile.

Maybe spend less time at the computer. By asking Yahoo Answers, you're probably making the problem worse.
