I don't think I have hayfever. Well I might have a touch of it but it's not obvious.

*Its probably the beginning ALLERGIC CONJUCTIVITIS
*Do you have a feeling on intense itch in eye?
*Do u suffer from other allergic conditions like Allergic rhinitis?
-if you have these smptoms then you need antihistaminic eye drops & antibiotic eye drops(CIPLOX/OFLOX) to prevent any secondary bacterial infection
-if u dont have above symptoms then its just due to excessive travel resulting in excessive dust getting in to your eye
*for that
-use plain/sun glasses
-avoid excessive dust exposure to ur eyes
-use goggles while swimming
-Anti histaminic eye drops if its severe

I know what you mean when you say sleep but if it is to the point that your eyes are stuck together or hard to open than you have an infection. I can't remember the name of it but I had it and you need to go to the doctor for eye drops.

use an eye bath before you go to bed. the 'sleep' that builds up in the eye during the night is the body's way of removing any contaminants that might of got into the eye.

It sounds like conjunctivitis, this is very contagious too, go see a doctor asap and get what you need to get rid of it.

wash your face at night, however, if they're really sticky, and kinda reddish pink, go to the doctor QUICK it might be conjunctivitis (pink eye) really contageous.
