To be honest with you, yes, we have. When I was pregnant my then boyfriend was a heavy drinker (STILL IS) and usually drank rather than giving me cash for groceries and even rent....I went to the food bank on a regular basis, stood in line for food boxes at holidays, even stood in line for a christmas tree! I am not ashamed or embarrassed, I just did what I needed to do...I had a very difficult pregnancy and was not able to work so I did whatever it took to survive. I am happy to say that I am now happily married to a good man with a good job who does NOT drink instead of paying bills, and my daughter is a happy and healthy 14 year old!
