The new F-22 Raptor is about to debut...
as an engineer, and former military man, I am absolutley shocked that our leaders signed off on this aircraft, which over it's lifetime, a SINGLE, as in 1 F-22 will cost the US taxpayer nearly 1/2 BILLION dollars for a single fighter airplane.
What's next, diamond studded joy-sticks for the controls!
Why we needed this incredibly overpriced plane is beyond me. There still was no match for anything in the US arsenal before this financial blackhole debuted.

Might as well stay as far ahead of everyone else as possible. What else would they do with the money... put it in socialistic programs where we are just helping the lazy who don't want to work but would rather leach off the rest of the public.

i would be more than happy to pay more taxes if this aicraft will make the military's job safer and easier . although you would think wit that kind of money they could make an unmanned aircraft
