Our War strategy was called "ISLAND HOPING"...this meant we would attack and conquer one Island in the chain of Islands going towards Japan and then skip the next Island and then Conquer the next Island in the chain of Islands and so forth and so on.
But after conquering the Island of Okinawa, president Harry S. Truman gave the go ahead to drop first one ATOMIC BOMB, not "Nuclear" on the Japanese city of HIROSHIMA and ask the Japanese to surrender, but they refused to surrender. So two weeks later we again dropped another ATOMIC BOMB on the city of NAGASAKI and Japan finally capitulated, thus ending World War Two.

You're joking, right? They used massive invasions of Pacific islands, along with air strikes, but dropping a nuclear bomb on Hiroshima put an end to it. The second bomb, on Nagasaki, was just window dressing and need not have been dropped.
