If it is inserted through surgery, it will not, because they use specially made metal plate.
If the metal plate entered your head by means of accident, it will get rusty and dangerous.

No the metal used in plating bones does not rust or disintegrate, I have a metal plate in my leg for a previous fracture.
They are made out of special alloy which do not rust

Yes, but if it does, they replace it for free. Unfortunately, however, the guarantee does not cover labor, so you will have to pay for the operation to put the new one in. Most of the cost of the operation is probably covered by insurance, but you should check with your insurance company first.

needs air to develop rust. Unless you plan on drilling holes in the plate after installation, don't worry. Read the owners manual in cass you have more questions.

the dr's use either aluminum or titanium. both metals do not rust.
