If he started being secretive. If he kept wierd hours and I couldn't catch him at work when I tried. If I went onto his computer and he was clearing the history file each night. If he stopped wanting sex, or only wanted it once a week. If he started being alot less or alot more affectionate (guilty conscience). If he suddenly came up with alot of new moves in the bed.
By themselves I'd not worry. But if several of those started happening at once, I'd start getting paranoid.

Are there expenses that can't be explained? Time spent away from home or work that seems unusual? A "big project" at work that requires travel or nights away from home? Is he more interested in his appearance lately? Does he spend more time on email lately? Smell different in the evening than when he left in the morning? Lots of phone calls to numbers you don't recognize?

If there is doubt is that because your insecure or he has given you reason to doubt ,if it's the later chances are you probably have the right idea ,only you can tell changes in his attitude, staying out more, etc ,but the easiest way ask him outright and watch the reaction

I really do not know exactly how but if he acts differently and he changes how he treats you and if he is not being honest and seem to be hiding things and secretive and seems to want to hide things from you then he may very well be cheating. You may also want to hire a pi.
