saying bless you shouldnt be about manners - although it has become just that - its actually a sillly superstition. so if someone sneezes and no one says "bless you" and someone thinks thats rude - they need to wake up and get a life.
theres a ton of $hit going on and you want a "bless you" thats stupid!

That is a western concept, where people believe that if u sneeze your spirits leaves your body for a moment and the devil may enter it. To prevent it they say 'Bless You'.
But in other parts of the world, a sneeze is a sneeze - at most people might think you may e coming down with a cold!

No, Because the person my not be in to being blessed by you or anyone. This came from old world thinking to keep bad or evil things from going up your nose when you sneezed. It is best to let someone that knows the person say what is needed to be said not you.

Not necessarily.... Maybe the person is a serial sneezer and the others are waiting for them to finish. My roommate is one of those.. I usually wait until the third sneeze or so before saying anything.

No I do not think so. I mean sometimes people are preoccupied in their own thoughts and do not realize at the moment, that saying "bless you" would be the proper thing to say..

I think so. That was one thing that hurt my feelings with my husband. When we were dating he never said it and I said it all the time. I just felt insulted.
But when I am out in public and no one says it, I dont give it a second thought.
