i feel a little story coming on...
when i was four my nana who hardly speaks english gave me a necklace from Rome in italy - her home country, it had a teeny weeny angel on it and she told me it was my guardian angel and if i wore it i would be safe in Gods eyes. so as a tiny kid with lots of nightmares of the boogie man, i wore it every day, day and night. but when i was 8 it fell off and i lost it. i remember cryin so much screaming that the burgulars were going to come take me away and i never felt safe for a while. last summer, me and my nana went to Rome for the summer and on our last day we found a necklace that looked just the same and she bought it for me. i havnt let it out of sight since and i never will. i love my nana :) x

A necklace my brother gave me. It is a "shield of faith". it has a scripture on the back, and has helped me focus on the good things through bad times. I wouldn't trade it for anything!

A small emerald ring...it is my start stone and my midsection grandchild and that i proportion that as a start stone. while she is sixteen (4 years from now) we plan to purchase matching start stone rings. until then as quickly as I positioned on my ring it jogs my memory of her.
