lehmann james is the first-choice GK. i thought kahn was the best GK in the world.

Klinsman picked lehmann over kahn saying it was a tough choice but lehmann has played better lately. I bet costa rica wouldn't have scored on kahn though, although I didn't see the goal because I'm listening on the radio.
UPDATE: I think Kahn will be playing again before this thing is over. Giving up a 2nd goal to Costa Rica (with 10 players no less) is unbelievable.

Because the German coach picked Jens Lehmann. Al so according to statistics Lehmann was slightly better than Kahn.

Jans lehman has played better lately indeed,also kahn wasn't performing well either.but still i don't think costa rica would have scored on kahn that's right.
now i don't think klinsman will let kahn play just because lehman did a few mistakes.he's the kind af man who believes in his choices and knows how important it's to stand behind your players in the rough times
