Wow. I am so sorry for your losses. That's a pretty deep thing you had to go through...

But to answer your question, you can't really MAKE yourself believe in God. I personally lost my faith a long time ago. I feel a little bad sometimes, but you can't push anything like that upon yourself. Maybe you should take a break from the church, take a vacation, and just try to re-evaluate everything. Don't live a lie.

This is a horrible thing to have happen, but please remember all things happen for your good. About 26 years ago I lost my brother, my best friend, we were very close I thought my world would come to an end. The preacher who preached his funeral had lost his wife years before. I did not know him at the time but we began to talk and became friends. There was no way either of us could have known what was about to happen. I started to attend the church where he preached and got back in church doing what God had call me to do in the first place. You see before this I had gotten away from God and was what you might say , doing my own thing. About two years later we started to date and then we married. Today we have a beautiful daughter who is about to give us our first grand child. So you see I know it hurts right now. And no one should try to take away your pain. You need your time to grieve, but please remember God is right there with you and He is ready to help you though all of this. You never know what God has in store for you, but after what you have been through I have to believe it is something wonderful. God Bless You and Remember He Loves you and so do I as a Christian

My sympathy goes out to you. I can feel your pain, when I lost my sister five years ago I asked God how could He do that to me we were so close. With the help of my family I realized that it wasn't God's fault. As a pastor you should know that God wasnt the one who did that to your family He would never do anything to hurt you, it was the elder who did that to you and your family. Please just continue praying and please dont lose Faith you need it now more than ever. I will pray for you. God Bless!!

I hate to be the one saying this to you right now, but everything and I do mean everything happens for a reason. You have been faced with such a tragedy, but you survived so that they may live on through you. The question is its how you let it direct your life, how you honor them, and how you use this to help change the world, that will or will not lead you back to your faith. I send my condolences and wish you the best.

While there is a lot of pain...it is not God who did these things...it was your neighbour. This should be testing the admonish to love they neighbour, not your belief in God.

Release your pain to the universe...then get in touch with your own spirit of love. This is all a part of the grieving process and it is a process.

You know, you are not funny at all. I have read some of your other questions and you should be ashamed of yourself. You know there are real people out there that actually go through some of the things you described in your questions and it is not funny a bit. You have a sick sense of humor.
