There is this guy on my swim team who I really like, more than just as a friend. He's three years older than me (which makes him sixteen). During a swim meet he was flirting alot with me and everytime it was my turn to swim he would be there cheering for me. But during practices we don't really get to talk and he has stopped saying hi to me when he sees me. I'm not a great person at displaying affections and so even if I walk by him when he's sitting alone somewhere I won't say hi to him or even do anything to acknowledge that he's there. I'll just keep walking. So what should I do? I really like him.

You like him? then why are you giving the wrong signs. He's perhaps confused with your actions. He might have interpreted that your being quiet and snobbish, means you dont like him. Try doing the opposite and be friendly.
P.S. You're still young, dont worry...this might just be a crush only. :D

i know its only 3 years but those three years are a big difference...hes way to old for you if you really like him wait a few years become friends and only friends and then in a few years maybe go on a date and while you are friends you will become more comfortable with him and not be so worried or worked up about making the first move(which is a date not sex!)

thats a big age gap for your age backet alot changes in you life from 13 to 16 so hes probably not going to want and date you sorry but as for desplaying affection just start with hi maybe a hug good buy and/or hello and for flirting don't take that too serious some people are just very flirtly in the way that they talk to girl (me for example)

First of all I think you are too young to be getting serious about any male. But by you not speacking to him, he might think you don't like him any more. At this age boys and girls are so different, that you never know what to say. Try talking to him when you see him and see what he will do.

you should acknowledge his presence (say hi when u see him), show him that u are interested maybe be he will have a change of heart. If you guys do not become lovers first you will become friends. It's first friends then then lovers. you know!!!!

well first off he is sixteen. he might just be being friendly. secondly if he has stopped talking to you then he isn't that good a person. but if you like him, just be careful and start to acknowledge his presence.

the fact that you realise its difficult for you to show affection is a step forward. If you really really like this guy...then go for it...talk to him. Theres no other way he will notice you...
