read "one hundred years of solitude" by gabriele garcia marquez.. or, "the god of small things" by Arundhati Roy..or
if you havent read it yet, read "The DaVinci Code" by ..yes, ofcourse.. Dan Brown

I'm planning to read the books by Kathy Reichs (she's the woman the new show BONES is based on). I've heard her books are pretty good.

I've read a lot of James Patterson -- really good books and very well written, but his murder scenes are VERY detailed (stay away if you get grossed out).

I just finished reading"LOVE, ROSIE", it's ok, a bit long though (it's romance). The Chronicles of Narnia are cool and the sisterhood of the traveling pants.
