I waited until I was almost 20 years old. The reason why I waited so long was because I knew that I wasn't emotionally ready to handle the post-coatis consequences (i.e. what if he never called me again). I also, have a mother who is a doctor, and had scared to death of contracting STDs or getting pregnant. The fact that most of my friends were male didn't help the situation either. I always had to listen to their derogatory comments regarding the woman they slept with and I definitely wouldn't want to be classified in such a manner. So, suffice to say, I am glad I waited and my first time was fabulous.

I personally think 18 is fine. Any younger and you are not mature enough to deal with emotions or realize the consequences. No, just because you're 18 doesnt mean youre automatically old enough to deal with it, but this is an age where we are becoming adults. Any younger is not advisable.

I was 20 years old and the guy was my boyfriend who I eventually married and he was also a virgin. He was 26 at the time and it was okay.

I was 15 years old. It was to the man who later became my husband. He was very considerate... as a matter of fact, we were down to the point of sex and I got so scared and nervous that we ended up not having sex, but cuddling instead. When we finally did, I was not so nervous and though it was painful, he was very considerate and took his time.
