Dear so and so:
It has been a pleasure working in this xxx firm for xxx years. Due to the fact that there is a great opportunity for me some place else, I decide to resign as of this date xxxx. The decision is not easy, and it took me quite some time to consider my future. I will sure miss the company,
regards,
Your slave worker
P.S. if you want to counter offer me, give me a contract to make sure I won't be fired after I turn down the other company!

Windows XP has "templates" that include resignations. If another software is being used; you can still go to Microsoft and look up templates for XP.
-- believe it or not, there are different styles of resignations
** when your boss is ahead of his game
** when your boss is in the pits of operation haedes

Just be simple by saying that you found another job even if it is not true, don't forget to say thanks for the experience you accumulated during the period you worked there because for good or bad your experience will be worth it.
another thing I'm not that type of person that gives a 2 week notice because those days may be frustrating for me, but if you want you can give the 2 week notice all depends on how you feel.

calm down first, think about it carefully, then write it. ask some one to look over it then submit it. but be genuine you never know when you have to deal with your boss again. if you respectful they might refer you to someone
