I just want the music to my living room stereo. The desktop I want to run it off of has my DSL router connected to it, so it dosen't have a wireless card. Please don't give me apple's website as I have already checked there and did not understand. Thanks!

AirTunes requires that you have an Apple computer with Airport (Wi-fi).

Since you have a Desktop, you may just want to hardwire it anyway, or you could find a 2.4 GHz solution if you have a long distance. Go to RadioShack or other electronic place and get a 1/8" to RCA wire/adapter and an audio extention cable. This will allow you to go from your sound card to you stereo. You may also want to add a splitter at your computer for your computer speakers. The following are some links to some stuff you might need.

If you want a wireless link, you need a AirPort Express Base Station with AirTunes connected to your stereo and a wireless card or an USB stick with Wifi in your computer. Remember that your computer needs to run all time your want to listen to music and that you need to go to your computer desk to start/stop and change tracks or playlists.
It is much easier to connect your iPod to your stereo.
