I don't think it's country, but maybe it is.
I'm not sure if he says "raindrops", or just "rain".... i know he says "love" somewhere in the song.... someone has to know the answer! I'm desprate!

could it be Rhythm of The Falling Rain? its by Ricky Nelson. But I don't know if this is the one you are talking about...
