I have physical therapy for my knee twice a week and they use this machine which is like a stimulant - where they put two patches and you get little electrical shooting to the muscle; I believe it is call the Russian Machine. Does anyone know if this is safe? I am five weeks pregnant. I just found out.

Congratulations! Make sure you tell your physical therapist about your condition. There is no radiation and the stimulation is local to the muscle. The general consensus is that as long as the stimulation is not over the abdomen or low back, it is safe. However, if you are at all uncomfortable with the treatment, ask to stop.

Ask your doctor or physical therapist. Your primary care or OB/GYN should be able to tell you, probably better than anyone here!
