Yes you can possibly get breast cancer at that age. There was a younger girl who got breast cancer. She was only 16. Sometimes these things cannot be predictable so you'd better go for a check up as soon as possible to cure it. A stitch in time saves nine. Better late than never.

It is super super rare to have breast cancer at your age. Most women have lumps in their breasts which vary in size over the month. If your lump is least sore just after your period you have nothing to worry about. Good luck.

Lumps at 16 are normal (even for guys). Comes with the hormones and changes. I assume it disapeared after a while? Don't worry about it on that account.
Chance it is cancer is minimal, but that does not mean you should not take this seriously. Maybe something like irritated milkglands. They react to your menstrual cycle.Could be completely something else.
Pain is your body telling you to,
Check with your doctor.

since nobody really knows where cancers come from. they just appear. people think it's in the diet, we are not sure about that. but yes, you can get cancer at any age. but don't be alarmed by that lump. if you try to examine it, does it feel like a grape? if yes then it's more likely a cyst... nothing serious. it can be left just as is, or aspirated (doctor uses a needle to drain the fluid out) or surgery. but still... you should speak to a gynecologist and have it examined to see if the cyst is benign or malignant (cancerous)

VERY VERY UNLIKELY
*The most common cause of lump at 15-30yrs is FIBROADENOMA breast
*The most common cause of lump at 30-45yrs is
CYST in breast
*The most common cause of lump >45yrs is
CARCINOMA breast
-So at 22 yrs cancer is very very very unlikely.
-The pain you have is just normal
-If you feel so much worried, the see a doc and get the lump tested by a FNAC
-it will show the accurate nature of the lump
-Dont worry u r just fine.
