I lost a lot of weight, and I need to rebuild my closets. I need clothes for work, gym and going out.

Added details, I work in a business casual environment. The dress code is we can't wear capris, crops, and I think gauchos. Skirts no higher than the knee. I lost about 150lbs and still losing. I don't want to buy pieces that are too trendy, and something to wear while still losing.

A lot of it depends on what you have to wear for work and if you're finished losing weight. I just lost quite a bit myself, and needed clothes to fill in the gaps.

Most importantly, buy yourself bras that FIT. Go to a store and get yourself measured for the proper size. That way, other clothing will look and feel better also.

I bought:

a 4 piece suit (washable). Skirt, vest, slacks and jacket - black
white blouse (long sleeve)
white blouse (short sleeve)
several shell blouses (short sleeve) in various colors
a white or pastel skirt that goes well with the shell blouses
navy slacks
brown slacks

weekend clothes (some of which will work as gym clothes):
2 pairs of jeans that fit properly
basic tshirts in several colors
a good belt
drawstring shorts in black, khaki, white

Weekend/date/special clothes:

Lace tank in black (goes with the suit also)
Short embroidered skirt (goes with the shell blouses or the tank)
Charcoal gray pants (silk pongee or raw silk) to wear with black lace tank
classic "little dress" in black
classic "little dress" in a pastel color

My "fun" additions included a couple of capri pantsets I can wear to work on Fridays, a halter top I could not resist (dresses up the jeans a bit too), and some scarves and jewelry.

You can dress up the jeans with different shoes and the occasional novelty top (I love peasant tops). The classic dresses can be made very suitable for evening wear with a satin evening bag, strappy high heeled shoes and some good jewelry.

When buying, look for good quality fabric, good cut, and comfort. The suit, if purchased in your current size, will also work if you drop a size. You can purchase summer-weight sweaters to round out your wardrobe, and they will go with the suit pieces as well as the jeans.

Shoe necessities: flat leather sandals, workout gym shoes, classic black pumps, and funky black strappy shoes.

Enjoy :)

Start with a good pair of black pants, at least two pairs of jeans (one dark, one light), black, denim, and khaki shorts and skirts, several pairs of black or gray athletic shorts and sport bra tank tops (those are so comfortable to work out in). Also, get several basic camis/tanks (white is a good color to have on hand, as well as black). Also get some basic cardigans (black is a good color) or blazer-type jackets. Add fun accessories as you go, according to your personal style. That covers casual and gym clothes. I don't know what your dress code is for work, so I really can't address that. Anyway, congratulations on losing weight, and have fun buying a new wardrobe!! Yay!!!

my greatest tip: concentration your cloth wardrobe on a million coloration. this does not recommend each and every little thing must be a similar yet merely hear up. commence off with assistance from determining on black, gray, or brown. to any extent further, once you go paying for, purchase merely the coloration u picked (plus another relaxing colorings). as an party, in case you chosen black, do not go out and purchase brown footwear and a gray belt! wish this facilitates, it truly is my new technique! (: all my success.

you have to find the color that works best with your skin tone. maybe even start with the shoes or a belt. it is for business or play. go to all kinds of stores try things on, see if it flatters you. keep in mind everything isn't for everyone.
