I'm going to go with Madonna, because even though Michael Jackson was awesome in his time, he has faded out of the pop life due to being such a freak. Madonna is still going strong so that shows she has and always had what it takes.

Amerie? Shakira? Get serious y'all! and Micheal Jackson is definitely not in our generation - he's like 40! I would probably say Beyonce just because she is so beautiful has a great body and has AMAZING vocals. For now, I don't think anyone can top her.
