Just still be nice and stay friendly with that person. Be honest with her about your feelings that you can't love her more than friends. I know you can be good friends. Be thankful that somebody loves you and cares for you.

Well to be friendly in a good manner - if and only if s/he tells you that s/he loves you. Just tell him/ her like this:
"Oh really? What a coincidence... We're the same!!... Luckily, I love myself too."
I bet that person wouldn't be down as much as s/he could've been. At least, you didn't destroy them totally.
