Many eye witnesses said that Booth shouted, Sic Semper Tyrannis, as he jumped from the balcony (where he had just shot Lincoln) to the stage. Translation, Thus always to Tyrants. It is the state motto of Virgina.

i'm not sure what he said when he shot him... but when he jumped from the box, he yelled "sic semper tyrannis (latin for "as always to tyrants")
