My 15 year old daughter & 5 of her friends aged 14 & 15 were followed & attacked by a gang of around 40 young adults. One of them asked why they were doing it & they said it was fun. They knocked them to the floor kicked them a few times then just walked off. They didn't even rob them & they hadn't done anything to provoke an attack. Why would they do that?

I'm not exaggerrating.
My daughter ran to a strangers house & phoned the police & waited there for 2 hours for the police to leave a message on her mobile phone to say her friends all got home ok, nothing else, they have not made any enquiries & the same gang was on the street 2 nights later.

Well the the chance that nothing was done to provoke is slim. Although in you mine and your daughters eyes it probably was nothing, but in a gang mentality it probably was. One of the friends may have looked at one of them wrong. May have had previous run ins with them. etc. etc. maybe the one that said they were doing it just for fun really didn't know why. however, i am sure there was at least one person who was doing it for a reason. I feel for you it is tough.

I have been in fights before, usually even fights (Mainly with my brother, self defence/wrestling training) or a bunch of midgets who provoked a fight by some strange reasons like "Being a nerd (At least I actually have knowledge of what to do compared to you)," "I bad-mouthed them (You should see how blushy and cry-babyish they get)," and "Stepping on thier new sneakers (Oh deary weary teary beery katamarieri! I stepped on shoes that other people have stepped on at least 20 times that day, and that you used in gym!)."

As I said about, people can do it for little or no reason. Sometimes, they do it since someone is walking on their "turf" (a sign of a gang), and attack just since they think thats their land. The "for fun" is an excuse it seems to me to make them think that they have a reason to do something as pussi.sh as hitting a girl.

Call the local law enforcement, and report to them fully what happened, where it occured, how many, thier appearence, etc. They should be able to help.

I have never beaten anyone up for fun. If someone is gonna talk their crap about me and they don't kno me then i got a problem. But I just ignore them, I stand up be a woman and walk away. But it is pretty sad when your daughter and 2 of her other friends get hurt too by 40 other young gang members. They don't have nothin better to do than pick on people and hurt them. They just like to take it out on other people.

That is HORRIBLE!! No, I have never beaten up anyone for fun, how lame and just plain mean! This world is full of meanness and I am sorry to hear about your daughter. If you can find out who was involved in this attack, I would definitely press charges!!

No I haven't. This is so sad though, I am really sorry your daughter had to deal with those idiots. They must be sick individuals, you know?! The police shouldv'e been notified. Someone needs to stop these freaks from harming anyone else in the future.

because one idiot in their group thinks it's a good idea and they all follow suit. basically, they are bored and have nothing better o do or no parents at home to keep them in line so they roam the streets looking for trouble or looking to get into trouble.

if I were you, I would contact the local gang task force and let them know what happened because chances are, if they weren't caught, they will do it again.

nope. Im more of a peace person. . i dont thing fighting sloves anything. I cant believe ppl think thats the answer. Its not. Its just a way to show off whose better. Sure you will think its fun for you to see ppl coming around chanting ' fight fight fight fight ' but it doesnt slove anything. its just a show off contest. We were not put on earth to show off our fighting skill, how hard we are. We were put on this earth to love, care, worship and more. Or else, ppl, if you really want to kno how to fight, and show off. Its called KARTE CLASSES! I am teaching myself karte tho. I think its kinda fun to teach yourself to do something. Then that les you kno your a good leader, a good persurver, and much more that makes you happy. not all like ' oh im in karte classes so you better watch out bc im better then all of you ' what pathitic ppl . . . If some 1 was says something mean to me, i wouldnt care, i would just say something back like ' it takes some 1 to no1 ' or something like that and walk away. heh, if you think of it. if you said that wrong, then they'll just be standing there, thinking about what that means. lol. You kno, idk why ppl do that, its just harsh. If some1 beats up a nerd or geek up might say, its not there falut its just there less fornute then others. bc there is this brown ind thats smart and inst funny, and looks like a geek and acts like 1 ( no afence to him ) but he is less fortune then regular ppl bc he is a foster child and has had 3 different mothers!

I really hoped i helped.

This is the product of a Godless society, where decency and morality have been systematically removed from all forms of public education. Where parenting skills are replaced with TV violence and XBox.Where black rappers glorify rape, murder, theft, extortion, gang banging, drugs and crime. Put the blame where it really belongs, put the blame on lazy parenting skills, on school systems with their hands tied behind their backs, on entertainers who glorify crime. And the masses of SHEEP who blindly follow their masters.

Why would someone do that?
The "losers" that attacked your daughter, were a
bunch of cowardly, brain-less, a$$holes. You said that there were 40 of them? They couldn't even attack by themselves, it had to be in a group. What a waste of human life.........

Everything in life comes full circle, and harm will come their way, eventually..........

Hope your daughter is okay.............

Not exactly...I did kickbox though! That was a LOT of fun. As for why kids do that, they get off on it, pure and simple. This is a documented phenomenon. A&E even did a show on it.
