If it wasn't for their big mouths, I wouldn't care about them at all...and I live in Nashville...country-western capital of the world.
At first I was angry at their very public criticism of the US, but I quickly realized they were making fools of themselves. When your head(s) get so big that you think you can say anything and not have it impact your careers, you are setting yourself up for a BIG FALL.
And it's beginning to happen. Country-western fans are overwhelmingly Conservative. They are abandoning the Chicks in droves.
The only people left supporting them are the Libs...and most of them are only doing it because of their current public notoriety as being anti-Bush. Once that blows over, the Libs will go on to the next Cindy Sheehan or whoever is the new "flash in the pan." And even the Libs aren't willing to cough up the money for a live conference. I guess it is one thing to pay a few bucks for an album, it's another to pay some serious money to support your current mouthpiece.
Bottom line: The Chicks have committed professional suicide...call the coroner.

Although they have a right to their opinions, personally, I just don't care for them. I think the lead singer Natalie has a big mouth & a bigger ego. Her voice is annoying. Although some of their material is great, I just don't care for her squealing voice, it just gets under my skin. I don't like her attidude. This is just my personal opinion, there are millions that disagree with me & The Chicks have the bank accounts to prove it. I wish them well anyway. I do think Natalie needs to think before she speaks publicly because she sounds like an ignorant and uneducated snob, which probably isn't the case, but that's the vibe I get.

You don't have to agree with them but I like that they say what they think.
Free speech is protected by the first amendment.
Music wise I don't follow country but they are cute.

I don't get it, didn't they say they werent gonna do any more country music? and what do they come out with, a country album. and just because you make a gothic looking music video dosent mean that the song is anything other than a country song.
