It is probably hormone related. An exam would be a good idea.

The possibilities are endless but to really know what is wrong you must make an appointment to see your doctor. When is the last time you had a mammogram? Women should have a mammogram once a year. Go see your doctor and tell him or her about it, your doctor may set you up for some tests and maybe set you up with a gynecologist. Don't depend solely on the answers in this forum. Do yourself a huge favor and go get checked. You may have a underlying physical problem that your not aware of. Good luck!

Like everyone else said, it may be your period. Worse case senario is it's a lump. You need to have a breast exam to check for lumps.

it may be a cyst that is reacting to your hormones before/after your period. Tenderness in the breasts is usually from elevated progrestrone. Please go see a doctor.
