i took 2 packs yasmin straight for around 2 months. After my last pill, I got my period eventually (4 days after). Now, I am 8 days delayed and have negative results in PT. Could Yasmin have been the culprit? Prior to Yasmin, I was enjoying a regular cycle. Thanks for the info you will be sharing..

I am not taking Yasmin now because it will be of no use to me. I just wanted to know if it could have been the cause because after my last pill, I also had my period on the expected day. more than one month after (and without Yasmin), still no period. I am just worried

Just wanted to clarify... someone said it was unhealthy to take two packs in a row, but this is NOT true. It is perfectly fine... I do it sometimes when my period is going to fall during something I don't want to be having my period on (like vacation, a wedding, etc). My gyno told me it was fine to do that.

I also take Yasmin, and sometimes skip the white pills one month so I don't have my period. However, for me, when I get around to the next white pills, my period is right there, ready to start. It doesn't have a delay. But I would imagine this could happen, like other posters have said.

I take Yasmin but my pack is on a monthly basis so I get my period monthly. if you took two packs one after the other, skipping your period, then most likely the delay in your period right now is due to the hormones trying to get back into regular schedule. You should be fine, as long as you get negative on your PT. You should be skipping your period only for few days. I don't know why you made yourself not getting it for two months but that is not healthy. The package comes on a monthly basis so use it the way its intended.

Yes, this could be the culprit. I take Yasmin as well and have had the same problem. I would still speak with your doctor just in case.

I take Yasmin too. My doctor told me to take it for 84 days and then stop for 4 or 5 to get my period and then 84 days again. (I have endometriosis, and it's a treatment for it.) I found that when I first started taking it for long periods of time, it took a long time for me to get my period. (I think it was a week.) Now that I've been doing it regularly, it takes me 4 days exactly. Hope this helps!
