It can be... but most pole dancers are just that... pole dancers. If you get dollar bills stuffed down your g-string it is not art.

For the misconception that Dancers can make 1000.00 a night either work in a great club or it happens on a weekend. Most dancers make 3 to 700.00 on a good night but there are days where you only make 20 bucks. It is an art Pole work is hard to do but Fun and for those say its all about the money and thats why its not art is verry wrong. Tell me of one artist who does it for the love now a days and intends to make no profit? Everyone is trying to get a peice of the pie I dont care what you do. Its an art that has been around for years and if you ever get the chance to see a Real show like in vegas you should go and see it. It will seriously blow you mind.

Yes it is an art. It has been around for thousands of years, and takes dedication and discipline to stay away from bad clubs, and bad elements in clubs.
There is even yearly tournaments held in Atlantic City and Vegas, and they are well worth attending. some poll tricks are real basic but some are amazing, and can take years to learn.

There is an increasing number of business functions and couples attending well designed shows. And there is even classes on how to dance for ones mate, and aerobics using seductive dance (which is great for legs and belly)

As for the dollars in the garter or g string...most clubs require dancers to pay for there time in the club (meaning only good dancers end up staying because bad ones wont make the pay every night) Dance wear doesn't come with pockets so the money has to go some where.

I feel it is not only an art form but a highly skilled one. Strippers who are good at it can make $1000 a night very easily WITHOUT prostitution or drugs.

A good stripper is a class act. It is a very exacting art form. Unfortuantely, there are a lot of bad strippers out there.

Yes, stripping, exotic dancing, and modern dancing such as hip-hop style dancing, break-dancing, and booty poppin...are all art forms just like ballet.

I think it can be an art. To work that pole you have to have so much strength. I knew a guy who had a pole in his basement and I tried it once and almost broke my neck! LOL! That is so not as easy as it looks!

Not really. Because it's just for the money. Art is about something else.

Art or not, who cares...it's still hot and if they do it well they have to be considerately talented. Definately don't think it's really art, but spin it anyway that makes you feel good about it.
