You need someone who already has gmail to send you an invite. This is to cut down on spammers.
I'm going to put a Gmail registration link up here for you...if it doesn't work send me an email and I'll reply with an invite.

Gmail accounts are by invitation only.
Jus have somebody send you an invite.

You need to be invited, or if you have a cell phone, you can sign up on Google G-mail, and they will send you a conformation code. A cell Phone is required, that can receive text messages.
