When I was a child, I made a "house" for bugs to live in, in my backyard. I piled up some rocks so they could go underneath them, then I would lift up the rocks and see what kind of critters I found. I still like lifting up logs and rocks and seeing the critters. :o)

Yes and yes; I grew up on a farm, I've been turning over rocks and rotten logs all my life. Literally and figuratively.

Yup, it's always interesting and creepy. Humans love to be creeped out. We also like to look in Medicine cabinets that are not ours, checking out accidents and anything else that makes us go oooooohhhh gross. Figuratively, we like to see what people have in there hidden spaces too. So,yup I guess I like the oooohhh gross factor.

literally, yes, I do, there are weird animals under rocks adn they scurry away so quickly you are never quite sure what they are...
Figuratively, not so much, have gotten burned from being too nosy.
