I went to a screening of this new movie, and it was one long commercial...for ATT...Pepsi, etc, and the story line was weak as well.

CNN has described it as a 'classic'. Sure, like Paris Hilton is a virtuous woman...please pass that crack pipe CNN...

Saw Cars today, it was really good, better than I was expecting. If you like other Pixar/Bud Luckey movies, you'll like this one. It was not at all commercialized, no product placement that I noticed whatsoever... unless you call Lightyear tires an actual product. Very entertaining for kids and adults.

You'll be happier than a tornaduh in a trailer park!

lol - thanks so much for the warning!! I'll have to see it because my kids really want to go when it opens, so I'll try to keep an open mind & see if I can find anything to like about it! Over the Hedge was really really hyped big time too & I didn't think it was very good at all. I enjoyed The Wild much more than Over the Hedge.
Oh well - I plan to go see "grown up" movies this weekend; I can sit through another kiddie flick for them later on!!

It's probably a bunch of sh*t but when you have kiddies and no babysitter, getting to go see a new kids movie is a night out. Sad but true. Sometimes the movie is worth it though. Over the Hedge was great!

Well i have to sit through it. My son has made me purchase stuffed cars, the large cars, medium cars and the small hot wheel cars and we purchased tickets to the movie 2 days in advanced. I hope it is better than you say so I feel good about spending so much money. Everytime I go to the movies I watch a kid flick.

Its based on Nascar.
Of course its gonna have the product placement. Heck, I'm surprised Nascar itself didnt try to get a placement in there.
Besides, 90% of the movies anymore have items in them just to get marketing promos involved.
