Why are words like **** and **** considered "bad" or "profane"? You all know what I am talking about. There is nothing bad about these words. Also, why is it cosiderd bad to show sexuality freely? I think moms just didn't want to explain to children any details of reproduction. Lazy bastards!

I understand that there is nothing I can do to change the world right now other than question it as I am.

Censorship has always been an issue. The censor's hope being that if you censor a word or ten, maybe you will succeed in censoring an unwelcome idea. Unfortunately quashing an idea never works - resultantly the only thing censored is the words. In WWII solders were suppose to self censor their letters home. What happened though was these soldiers worked out personal codes to the home folk so they might what was going on. In like fashion a frack or a frigg can easy be substituted for a f***. Being five letter words frack and frigg are quite exceptable.

"Bad" words are bad only because of western civilization's interpretation of them. But, there is little that can be done about this, we all need to adhere to our society's mores. If you choose not to follow this, and go around cursing everywhere in every situation you will be judged and shunned by society. Right or wrong that's just the way it is. Being that I am an Atheist and a Skeptic, I like to live my life my way- BUT, I am also a registered nurse who works in the community and I am very respected. In every society there needs to be rules and standards. I think using swearwords is appropriate in certain situations and can be especially use full in emphasizing a point. People who use swearwords profusely, and disregard others' possible feelings about it, are generally viewed to be of low class, low intelligence and simply lacking manners.

You should that is what I think at least, and sometimes that 'mothers' you are talking about can be a little 'over protective' with their children but just look at what is going on now a days in the middle and elementary schools today....

Well.....let's think about this. This site is available to kids too. I just answered an 11 year old. There are some on here younger. If you had a child, would you buy the child a porn book or a child's book???? Think about it. Oh, and I'm a mom and I did talk to my kids about sex. They didn't learn it THIS WAY. I'm happy about that too!!! Let me guess - you're age is approximately 14 - am I right?
