I don't know if it was the best, coz I'm still waiting for it to get an official DVD release in the UK, I know it has been released in France. It certainly is a contender for the title along with Ulysses 31 and Dogtanian and Dungeons and Dragons. And you're not getting old, there just were better cartoon series in the 80s.

I remember that golden bird/aircraft thing they got into and the strange bald people, vaguely. It was definitely imaginative.

Aaaaaaaahaaaaahaaaahaaaahaaaahaaaaaaah looking for the citieeeees of gold.......

It was the song that made it the best clearly.

Children of the sun, say our time has just begun, etc,etc

The song always makes me excited because it was the first programme we ever watched on Sky (satellite) back in the early 90's - and we were sooo the first in the neighbourhood to have satellite. I had so many friends those first couple of years!!!

Classic programme! They just don't make kids TV like that anymore. The 80's were the best

OH my God i am psychic, i was literally JUST singing the theme tune to Cities of Gold right before i signed in on 'Answers'

It was good, but the theme tune was not as catchy as Dogtanian and the Three Muskethounds.

"One for all and all for one
Muskethounds are always ready
One for all and all for one
Helping everybody"
